‘Piano in the Redwoods’ is central element of the annual Art in Nature event. A grand piano is placed in a clearing among redwood trees along Redwood Regional Park’s Stream Trail.
The program runs from 11am to 5pm and showcases 10 different pianists/ensembles that perform 30-minute sets, with 10-minute intermissions. Additionally, the piano is made available after the programmed events for people to enjoy and play until the end of the day.
‘Piano in the Redwoods’ is integral in supporting the mission of Art in Nature: to make world-class arts and nature accessible to all, to awaken and express personal creativity, to foster collaborative synergy, to encourage diverse and resilient communities, and to connect people with nature and inspire environmental awareness.
